About Communist Nation

Published by Jack

A natural extension of the DPRK Forum blog, Communist Nation has been in several incarnations. I finally decided to keep it in blog format instead of forums. The primary reason is there is not a lot to discuss when there are not a lot of members. Also, there are a lot of communist based forums out there if others are interested in forums discussions. If this blog should get some attention (which will most likely it will not), I may consider a forum add on. However, this is looking way down the road.

The goal of Communist Nation

To better understand the past is to better prepare for the future. While I do not agree with communism, the goal of this blog is not to be hyper partisan. The goal is to better understand the history, ideology, leaders, people and human rights. Just these things alone will imply this is anti-communist, and in some ways it is. However, this is purely for my own research, ask readers questions, try to conduct interviews and try to gain a better understanding. As stated on the DPRK Forum blog, I am by no means an expert, and in no way I am going to cover everything.

Furthermore, I would like to make it very clear this blog may cover other topics other than communism or communist-based topics. This is my blog, and for those that consider that a problem should look elsewhere. After all, there are trillions of blogs out there. This is just one in a sea of a trillion blogs. Some topics that may be discussed:

* Politics of the day: It does NOT imply the topic has anything to do with communism, or a person is connected to communism. I will make this clear in the opening of the entry.

* Economics: This topic fascinates me, and I may cover other schools of thought other than communism. I am NOT an expert on the subject! If you have a correction, please correct me. I am always willing to learn.

In case you have not noticed, I have included partisan-leaning RSS feeds from both sides of the spectrum. I watch both sides of the debate. As said, this blog is not designed to be hyper-partisan, and I encourage listening to all aspects of the debate. Personally, I lean libertarian, and you may see libertarian ideas expressed in my posts. Issue is, I do not agree with everything the libertarian platform has. I refuse to be placed in a little neat box.

About Me

There is not a lot to say about me other than I am just a simple person living in the middle of nowhere. I love to learn, and think about things most people do not consider. On the other hand, my focus will still be primarily on the study of North Korea.

Disclaimer

The ideas expressed on this blog are my own, and do not reflect the ideas of my employer, other people connected to me or anything of that nature.
